Joining the team in July 2024, my role of Staff UX/UI Designer is at the same tier/level as what other companies call a Lead or Principal; in other words, I’m the subject matter expert (SME) and mentor to the Individual Contributors / Designers for my area without having to directly manage the team members I work with and support.
My area of coverage includes the Michaels e-commerce platform (website), native mobile applications (iOS and Android), and things in the post-purchase journey like tracking orders & customer support. Parts of my job also touch Custom Framing, the shared cart + checkout (w/ Michaels & MakerPlace), and things like classes, parties, and innovation projects.
