Narrative Games

While working at Blizzard Entertainment, I used our game jams to start making game concepts in Twine and have continued to play with that after leaving. These are some of those concepts that haven’t been fully polished, but are online to mess around with!

Created in sketchbooks, Twine, and HTML/CSS/JS.

Spoonies

My first game in Twine was a VN take on the Spoon Theory, to try and help build some empathy for people are are invisibly disabled but still struggle day to day.

It was a collaborative effort with my friends and coworkers: Kit & Kay. (Blizzard Game Jam 2022)

Warcraft Story Book

For my second game jam at Blizzard, I took a few of the short stories from the Warcraft website and put them into a more interactive, game feeling experience as a pitch for ways we could get more people into the amazing stories that the team was creating and dumping online.

This was a solo effort! (Blizzard Game Jam 2023)

Tarot for Giant Idiots

As I got into learning Tarot, there weren’t a lot of interactive learning tools online so I decided to take a swing at making something like that in Twine.

I even took a stab at making a few practice readings within the game itself. It’s not the same as shuffling yourself but it’s a way to practice and cross-reference what the cards mean!

More Coming Soon!

With some of my newfound free-time (funemployment is a blast), I’ve started a couple new projects that I’m excited to share soon!

If you wanna follow along, the best place is probably my Bluesky account as I tend to post random bits and pieces of what I’m doing over there. You can even bug me and ask for updates if ya want. Always happy to chat!
